1. Greystone Castle isn’t a club! Greystone Castle is open to the public 363 days a year! The Castle is only closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. While reservations are required for most activities, the Sporting Clays course is open to walk in guests.

2. The Castle was originally built in the 1980’s Greystone Castle started as a quest for the ultimate sporting facility. The land was hand-picked for the stunning views and the Castle became the centerpiece offering lodging and amenities in a truly unique setting.  What started in the 1980’s as a dream has been updated and improved to currently house 26 rooms, a private dining room, a conference center, a state-of-the-art entertainment pavilion, and a world-class sporting facility.

3. Exclusive Events Imagine planning a retreat or management meeting and knowing that your group will completely take over the facility. The privacy offered by Greystone Castle means that your event will take center stage.

4. Team Building and Fund Raising Options Group events are a great time for your team to get to know one another and develop relationships outside of the office. Greystone’s two Sporting Clays courses offer a great chance to step outside of the normal meeting spaces. They can be used for a team competition or even as a fundraising event. Greystone also offers ranch tours through the exotic animal pasture, an archery course, fishing, and horseback riding. All these activities are designed to get people talking and thinking about new things!

5. Orvis Endorsed Lodge of the Year The Orvis Company is recognized worldwide as a standard of excellence in clothing and equipment. As an Orvis endorsed lodge, Greystone Castle meets the highest standards set forth by Orvis. In addition, Greystone has won the prestigious Lodge of the Year award twice, in 2011 and 2015, as well as an additional nomination in 2014.

6. Hunting Year Round Greystone is home to over 35 species of exotic animals. Many of these animals are horned species which means they never shed. In addition to the exotics, whitetail deer, quail, pheasant, dove and turkey are available to hunt per Texas Parks and Wildlife guidelines. License can be purchased onsite and loaner guns are available, making hunting an activity for anyone interested.

7. Thurber Brickyard & Coal Mines Located in historic Thurber, Texas, the Castle is located on the site of the famous Thurber Brickyard. The Sporting Clays courses pay homage to the history with names like The New York Hill and The Brickyard. Ruins of the old brickyard and coal mines can be seen all around the property. Bricks were even harvested from the ruins to build shooting stations on the Brickyard course!

8. Creative Menu Chef Trey Zingelmann brings Texas cuisine to life at Greystone. Using his skills learned in Houston, he brings a gourmet touch to game options as well as prime cuts of steak and seafood. Each menu can be customized to account for allergies or special diets making each meal a delight.

9. Location, Location, Location Located just 55 miles West of Downtown Fort Worth, the Castle is accessible to any group. Day trips or overnight stays are easily accommodated. Out of town guests can fly into DFW or Love airports and either rent a car or be picked up by the shuttle service. With an entrance just off of Interstate 20, the Castle offers convenience to everyone.

10. TV Shows & Magazines Greystone Castle has been featured on several different TV shows as well as in national magazines. The stunning landscape, unique castle facility and accommodating staff make the Castle attractive to photographers, writers and hunters alike.
