The San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau has certified 1,000 Certified Tourism Ambassadors (CTA) through their CTA program. These results give San Antonio the highest number of current and active CTAs in the country along with reaching the 1,000 CTA mark one month ahead of the city’s schedule under the guidance of Casandra Matej, executive director.
“Enhancing the visitor experience was a top priority for the SACVB this year and we are thrilled that the San Antonio hospitality community has embraced the nationally acclaimed Certified Tourism Ambassador program,” explained Matej. “We are proud that our partners have utilized the certification curriculum as a way to invest in their employees and to ensure that every visitor continues to receive the exceptional service that San Antonio is known for.”
CTA program entrollment is open to all and certification sessions are schedule monthly or with the student’s employers to host work-day sessions. After completing the 4-hour session students are nationally certified and leave knowing how to provide visitors with service and helpful information about San Antonio and the region.
