Home TX Places TX Venue Report Calling All Second Honeymooners

Calling All Second Honeymooners

By M+E Staff

Have I got a deal for you! The Lancaster Hotel in Houston is offering a $20 one-night stay to couples celebrating 20 or more years of marriage — as long as they stayed at the hotel during their honeymoon. That’s a pretty steep discount for all you romantics out there.

During March 2014, the hotel will offer these second honeymooners a one-time rate of $1 per year of their anniversary for one night (on a space available basis). It’s a great way to re-experience the newly renovated boutique hotel at 701 Texas Avenue in the heart of Downtown Houston’s Theater District.

The historic Lancaster Hotel completed a $10-million redesign in 2013, encompassing the hotel’s lobby and all guest rooms and suites.  The 94-room boutique property, which earned a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark designation in 1984, is a family owned and operated hotel that opened as the Auditorium Hotel in 1926. And it was accepted into the prestigious Historic Hotels of America (representing the Jazz Age) in 2010.

“Our hotel has a long, colorful history and we look forward to reconnecting with guests and hearing their stories from years past,” said Brenda Anderson, The Lancaster’s general manager. To qualify, you’ll need to show some proof of your previous honeymoon stay, so be sure to email for more information.
