Austin’s Palazzo Lavaca reimagined as corporate and social event venue

Looking for a new—and, frankly—incredible place to host a social event or meeting? Check out Palazzo Lavaca in Austin. It is one of the city’s oldest buildings and stands at the corner of 16th St. and Lavaca.

Giselle Koy, an Austin native and UT alum, purchased the building eight years ago. “I was so moved by this building, a true homage to Austin’s amazing past,” says Koy. “I wanted to keep that great Austin vibe and add in some of my design inspirations like the famous Palazzo Fortuny in Venice and Julian Schnabel's Palazzo in New York City.”

Behind all this charm and pleasantry, however, Brenham is at the center of some serious business.

Put Private Dining in the Palm of Your Hand

I am insatiably curious and always keen to learn something new, but I find that I am surprised by the seemingly familiar more often than not. Case in point? The Palm restaurant in Philadelphia. This elegant steakhouse is tucked inside the landmark Hyatt at The Bellevue hotel. It exudes that classic steakhouse appeal – a dark wood bar, a buzzy “business is getting done here” ambience and professional male waiters sporting jackets.

Philadelphia Visitor’s Center – Not Just for Tourists

It seems that I keep bumping up against things I don’t know. Whether it’s a fact I didn’t know or a place I wasn’t aware of before, it seems that at least several times a week I discover something new.It used to bother me and make me feel less "in the know," but now I put my ego aside and just enjoy the moment of basking in something new.
