Massage Heights recently announced the appointment of David Humphrey as chairman of the board of managers. Humphrey will be working toward accelerating the company to a larger international reach throughout the United Sates and Canada, as well as expanding its services.
"I know what it takes to build a great franchise brand," Humphrey said. "And I see all the ingredients for breakthrough success in Massage Heights. They combine a great business concept with caring family ownership to deliver exceptional support to their franchisees. And their franchisees become true Strategic-partners, and deliver an extraordinary wellness experience to the members they serve in their body and face retreats."
Humphrey joins Massage Heights from Massage Envy Spa where he served as the CEO of the company. He also founded his investment and advisory services firm, DTH Capital Ventures, as well as consulting with a variety of franchise companies.
"As the head of a large and growing family business, I want to combine the values and personal touch of committed family ownership with the expertise of leading franchise and wellness-industry professionals," said Glenn Franson, Massage Heights CEO. "Welcoming David Humphrey to our team alongside myself, Shane Evans as President and COO and Wayne Evans our Founder, we will truly combine the best of both worlds."
Massage Heights also announced the promotion of Shane Evans to president of the company, as well as maintaining her additional role of chief operating officer. In her new position, Evans will be responsible for managing all day-to-day operations and leading the franchise network.
"We are already growing dramatically, with 30 new retreats in development and 75 new locations projected to open this year," Evans said. "We just celebrated our tenth anniversary of making therapeutic massage and skin care services affordable and convenient for people from all walks of life, and we continue to be inspired by the opportunity to help our franchisees build great businesses and elevate our guests’ lives every day."
