Post Oak to Open in Texas in December

Planned to open in December, the Post Oak will be opened by Texas billionaire Tilman Fertitta. The Post Oak will include a two-story Bentley and Rolls-Royce showroom and a helipad for guests, which is the first hotel in the world to host a showroom and helipad.

The Post Oak will offer 250 guest rooms in its 38 stories. Other amenities include a 16,000 square foot ballroom, the second largest chandelier in the world, a spa and salon, Mastro's Steakhouse (a celebrity and athlete favorite), Willie G's seafood, and luxury retail all on the 10-acre property.

Museum, hotel partnership promotes Texas culture

San Antonio is one of Texas’ top meeting and convention destinations—and now there is another great option for planners. Hotel Contessa has partnered with The Briscoe Western Art Museum to create a Texan experience for groups that want to incorporate local flavor into their meetings. The Briscoe is one the newest museums in San Antonio, located directly on the Riverwalk, and focuses on the art, history and culture of the American West through engaging exhibitions and educational programs reflective of the region’s rich traditions and heritage.

New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge Reveals $45 Million Renovation

After more than a year, the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge announced the unveiling of its $45 million transformation, ending a three-phase renovation.

The third phase focused on renovating the 667 guestrooms to mimic the Brooklyn lifestyle, with urban-inspired color pallets, fabrics that emulate the culture and landmarks, and an art piece that zooms in on a piece of a mural that is located in the lobby.
