• Benchmark Promotes Eric Gavin to Chief Officer of Sales

Global hospitality company Benchmark has promoted Eric Gavin to chief officer of sales. Gavin’s previous position was senior vice president of sales & marketing.

Gavin’s new role will entail oversight and direction of Benchmark’s systemwide revenue management department, as well as the company’s global sales strategy and performance functions.

Gavin previously held the position of regional vice president sales and marketing for Benchmark, leading the teams of sales professionals and sales operations for resorts and hotels throughout Florida, California, Tennessee and the Caribbean. He has also previously served as vice president of marketing for Noble House Hotels & Resorts. Gavin attended the University of South Carolina - Aiken.

Benchmark Resorts & Hotels, a global hospitality company, has appointed Dan Paradiso director of sales & marketing for The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark. The Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property, located in Monticello, New York, is set to open on 1,600 acres that house the site of the Resorts World Catskills entertainment complex.


Houston City Council approved the appointment of Brenda Bazan as the new president and CEO of the Houston First Corporation (HFC).

“It’s an honor to be selected by Mayor Turner and confirmed by the city council,” said Bazan.


Hotel Van Zandt and Geraldine’s have announced a new creative force as the Director of Music and Social Programming. Janice Bond, a Texas native, was an active committee member of SoHo House, a member’s club that brings together a community of people in creative industries such as film, fashion, music, art, and technology.
