Canopy by Hilton has announced the official opening of its first Texas hotel. This hotel, called Canopy by Hilton Dallas Uptown, is located in Dallas’ uptown district. Strategically placed in central Dallas by the owners, The Javelin Group, the hotel is just a short walk from multiple entertainment venues, shops, and restaurants nearby. Because of its rich history, the Dallas location is perfect for Canopy. It gives the friendly neighborhood hotel the opportunity to showcase design elements that play into the dense culture of Uptown Dallas.

“We chose Dallas’ Uptown district for our first Texas property and fourth in the U.S. because of the vibrant, historic and community-focused neighborhood,” said Gary Steffen, global head of Canopy by Hilton. Alan Naul of The Javelin Group agrees with Steffen. “We look forward to providing out-of-town guests and locals alike a destination where they can get a true sense of local living in Dallas.”

According to the full report, this hotel offers 150 rooms, a rooftop bar titled Upside West Village, and a European-style café called Canopy Central Café. Among other highlights, like its dog-friendly rooms, these features were designed to provide guests with a taste of the local neighborhood culture. Not only is this hotel a great leisure stop, but the report indicates a 3,500-square-foot meeting room that is perfect for large and small events such as corporate meetings or weddings.
