The Kimpton Pittman Hotel has opened in Dallas’ storied Deep Ellum neighborhood, serving as the first hotel in the neighborhood and providing doorstep access to some of the city’s most popular shops, breweries, dining and live music venues.
In November, Dallas-based Todd Interests opened Thompson Dallas, part of hospitality brand Thompson Hotels. Thompson Dallas features 219 rooms, including 52 suites, two penthouse suites, and two culinary destinations.

Created by a bartender at Sheraton Dallas Hotel’s popular restaurant Open Palette, the Local Apple cocktail is made with whiskey handcrafted by Dallas distillery Herman Marshall.
To make the Local Apple, combine:
— 2 oz. Herman Marshall Whiskey
— 1 oz. egg white
— ¾ oz. lemon juice
The 18-story, 303-room Hyatt Regency Frisco-Dallas is now open for business. Located within Frisco’s Stonebriar Centre, the hotel includes a 27,500-square-foot conference center with Regency and Junior ballrooms and additional breakout spaces, most with floor-to-ceiling windows for natural light.
This past December, the HALL Arts Hotel opened in Dallas. Located in the largest contiguous arts district in the country, the hotel features 183 rooms, 19 suites, a rooftop pool, restaurant and lounge, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
