In April, the 2018 ILEA MSP Star Awards were held at Mystic Lake Center. The event featured an awards ceremony and after party that showcased industry trends and innovative event production. It was an evening of espionage, titled “An Undercover Affair.” Hundreds of attendees gathered in James Bond themed attire to experience first-hand the endless possibilities and amazing setups that Mystic Lake Center can create.

ILEA discovered that unique to Mystic Lake Center, is the opportunity to create an immersive experience for an event with a custom branding package. Their brand was brought to life with custom print collateral and digital signage. At Mystic Lake Center, the expert meeting and event professionals work collaboratively with the in-house marketing team to ensure every aspect of an event leaves a lasting impression.

Digital signage is quickly becoming an essential part of the attendee experience; it’s efficient, cost effective and provides a professional look to any event. At Mystic Lake Center, the staff can customize entrance, welcome desk and kiosk screens, and a nine-panel video wall can also be branded giving maximum exposure of an event. All digital signage can also incorporate vital information including dynamic room navigation and social schedules.

An in-house expert culinary team can create menu options that delight both the eye and palate. Unique packages are available, as well as exquisite displays. With a team of culinary professionals and extensive kitchen space, Mystic Lake Center can serve up to 2,700 guests simultaneously. Guests were thrilled at the ILEA Star Awards with Scotch Quail Eggs and English Pumpkin Pastries—all served out of secret agent briefcases.

Over the years, the talented chefs have created fun, exciting action station presentations such as spinach and mushroom gnocchi with arugula, shiitake mushrooms and gorgonzola cheese in a light cream sauce. One of the most eye-catching catering options is the iced seafood bar featuring chilled shrimp, deluxe cracked stone crab claws, snow crab claws, chilled lobster medallions and freshly shucked oysters.

Setting the atmosphere of an event includes creating unique presentations, decorations and finishing touches. At the ILEA Star Awards, magnifying glasses hung from the ceilings in one of the ballrooms, while “Secret Serum” bottles were placed as centerpieces on the table. At Mystic Lake Center, tables, chairs, china and service ware are included, with the option to upgrade chair covers, linens and more.

Mystic Lake Center joins Mystic Lake to form one of the largest hotels in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. With 766 hotel rooms and suites, including the new Promenade Hotel Tower, guests are just steps away from meeting spaces and nonstop entertainment options. Hotel guests love the golf course views, modern amenities and convenience of being connected to Mystic Lake Center.

If guests are looking for an experience outside of a banquet setting, private dining experiences are available at The Meadows Bar and Grille℠ and Mystic Steakhouse®. Guests can also explore a wide variety of dining options on their own. Whether they’re looking for a beer and a quick bite, comfort food classics or an elegant steak dinner, there’s something for everyone’s taste and budget at distinctive bars and restaurants.

From branding and catering, to hosting at the Twin Cities only full-service resort, ILEA uncovered the profound elements of creating a successful event at Mystic Lake Center. Mission accomplished.
