• George R. Brown Convention Center Introduces New Briggo’s Robotic Coffee Haus

Event attendees at the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRB) will now be able to enjoy coffee from the first robotic, connected coffee service in Houston—the Coffee Haus, located across from the Marriott Marquis Houston’s skywalk. Houston First, which owns and operates the GRB, and its hospitality team powered by Levy, Houston Inspired Catering, have partnered with Austin-based Briggo to implement this service. The Coffee Haus meets the global demand for specialty coffee and customizable, on-demand experiences.

“We’re excited to partner with Briggo and bring more smart and innovative products to Downtown Houston,” said Luther Villagomez, chief operating officer of Houston First. “Adding a robotic Coffee Haus to the convention center adds a layer of convenience and elevates the visitor experience, which is always our number one priority.”

Briggo’s Robotic Coffee Haus serves hot and iced coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, chai, hot chocolate, and more 24/7. Customers can order ahead from the app, or customize their drinks on the Coffee Haus touchscreens.

Brown Convention Center.” 

BENCHMARK, a global hospitality company, is expanding into Texas with three new, distinctive properties—Doug Pitcock ’49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center in College Station, Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Allen & Watters Creek Convention Center in Allen, and Hotel Contessa in San Antonio. 

 

Sheraton Dallas Hotel, the largest hotel in downtown Dallas, is currently undergoing an extensive renovation of all public areas, guest rooms, and meeting and convention space. As part of its ongoing multimillion-dollar renovation, the hotel introduced five new food and beverage concepts. Three of the five have opened, and the additional two will open by early February.

 

Two Mules Cantina, highly-anticipated bar and restaurant within Valencia Group’s new Texican Court, is now open for breakfast, dinner, happy hour and weekend brunch. Executive Chef Patrick Hildebrandt has created a destination to showcase Southwestern-inspired dishes.
