From an intimate dinner for 20 to full-blown reception for up to 300 guests, the Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse provides upscale food and service in a rustic, authentically Texas atmosphere. The steakhouse is named after the well-known Y.O. Ranch found in the heart of Texas Hill Country. The restaurant is situated in the Dallas West End historic downtown district and features on-site hand-cut USDA prime steaks, a selection of seafood and an extensive wild game selection—including venison, game birds, and buffalo.

The interior features dark, rich woodwork accented with black and white photos, 100-year-old brick archways, wrought iron railings and candlelit tables which set the tone for a relaxed yet elegant ambiance. Guests can also dine on the patio under Texas Live Oaks and surrounded by flower baskets and the energetic vibe of Market Street.

The menu at the Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse offers steaks and other meats prepared in much the same way ranch hands have been using for more than 125 years and seasoned with Y.O. Steakhouse-branded herbs and spices. Steaks are charred on a flat griddle and finished by searing with a secret finishing sauce. If you’re craving surf instead of turf, the steakhouse offers lobster, shrimp, sea bass, tilapia and other fresh fish. Hand crafted cocktails and an extensive wine list are available. The drink of the month is called the El Jefe, it is made with Anejo Tequila, agave nectar, orange zest and a dash of cinnamon. Don’t forget to try the restaurant’s signature dish is the buffalo filet mignon, yum!

The Y.O. Steakhouse offers a variety of private dining facilities including; The Windmill Room, The Longhorn Lounge, and The Hill Country Lodge. For larger groups, doors between the three private dining rooms can be opened creating a space for up 300 for a cocktail reception. Additionally, the entire steakhouse is available for buyout and will seat 275 for a dinner or hold up to 350 guests for a Texas-sized cocktail reception.

An extensive private event menu featuring steak, seafood and wild game—including quail, elk, buffalo and even rattlesnake—make the steakhouse a great venue for group events in the Dallas area. Whether hosting an intimate executive dinner, a business lunch or a corporate banquet, the staff at Y.O. Steakhouse will work with event planners to create an experience that guests will remember.

You don't have to spend a fortune on a corporate outing to make a big impact. Texas-based Small Giants Community founder Paul Spiegelman’s corporate picnic at the Lonesome Dove Ranch was so inspiring, he wrote an article about it for Inc.com. “Oftentimes, employee perks are the fi rst cuts to improve margins,” Spiegelman writes. “Don’t do it. Here’s why.”
