    POSTED April 10, 2017

The Hilton Americas-Houston recently accepted the 2016 Hilton Brand Award with the honor of Award of Excellence—one of only five Hilton hotels to do so and its sixth consecutive year.

Awards are handed out to those hotels that portray the highest level of quality and service across their brand.

“Another great performance by our team,” says Jacques D'Rovencourt, general manager. “Not only to be one of five Hilton hotels in our category to receive this award for 2016, but to have received this recognition for six consecutive years truly shows our team's dedication in delivering exceptional experiences to every guest, every time. The support we continually receive from Houston First Corporation and Hilton reinforces the commitment we all have to be one of the best hotels in the lodging industry."

Boasting largest number of guest rooms, ballrooms and hotel meeting space in the city, the Hilton Americas-Houston also features the most technologically advanced services available under one roof. The hotel offers 1,200 guest rooms, 91,500 square feet of meeting space, restaurants, lobby bars, a Starbucks, and a full-service spa and health club.

The Woodlands Resort will soon become the first Curio Collection by Hilton branded resort in Texas. Along with its January 4, 2022 transition to the upscale portfolio, the 402-room, AAA Four Diamond property with 75,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space is slated for an extensive program of enhancements projected to begin in the second quarter of 2022.

The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) led a coalition of business groups and their communities to drive support to the industry, for SB 8, the federal pandemic relief bill that included $180 million for local hospitality and tourism businesses.
