Fort Worth’s Hotel Drover has appointed Devin Walline executive chef and Jamel Taggart director of hotel food and beverage operations. 

Executive chef Devin Walline most recently served as executive chef for The Harpeth Hotel, a Curio Collection by Hilton in Franklin, Tennessee. In his new role, he will oversee all culinary operations for Hotel Drover, including the resort’s on-site restaurant, 97 West Kitchen & Bar, The Lobby Bar, The Backyard at Hotel Drover, The Courtyard at 97 West, as well as special events and meetings throughout the historic district. James Taggart has more than 15 years of experience in the industry, most recently serving as the executive director of food & beverage at Omni Oklahoma City Hotel. 

 

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa has appointed Steven Carl its new director of food and beverage. Carl joins the resort from City of Dreams Manila Resort in Paranaque, Philippines. 

As director of food and beverage, Carl will be responsible for the operations of each of the resort’s on-site restaurants including Stories Fine Dining, Firewheel Café, Shellers Barrelhouse Bar, McDade's Coffee Emporium & Ice Cream Saloon, and Old Buck’s Place.  

 

Brent DeRaad has been named president and CEO of Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau. He will begin his new position on December 6, 2021. DeRaad is replacing Ron Price, who had been president and CEO since 2013. 

DeRaad has more than 20 years of hospitality leadership, sales and marketing experience. He comes to Arlington from Visit Tucson, where, as president and CEO, he was responsible for a $10 million annual budget and 16,000 hotel rooms.
