Texas Live!, Arlington’s new $1 billion entertainment complex officially opened on August 9. The Texas Rangers, The Cordish Companies and the City of Arlington project, located between the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Park and the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium will also feature several new options for meetings and event planners, including 35,000-square-feet of meeting, event and convention space.

Texas Live! will also include a new flagship hotel and Grand Event Center, opening in 2019, from partners Loews Hotels & Co. and The Cordish Companies.

“With the addition of the new flagship Live! by Loews luxury hotel, convention visitors and meeting planners now have the choice of a luxury brand in Arlington, in addition to new meeting space,” said Jon Hixon, Vice president of sales.

Designed by internationally acclaimed HKS Architects, the hotel will feature 302 luxury guest rooms and house Revolver Brewing, a working brewery, bar and tasting room. The Grand Event Center will feature a grand ballroom with banquet seating for up to 1,500, an executive boardroom (with five additional breakout options) and flexible prefunction space.

Z Resort’s luxury Hotel ZaZa Austin is now open in the Warehouse District of downtown Austin. Texas charm fuses with the city’s urban essence throughout the new property’s 8,500 square feet of meeting and event space, three beverage and dining concepts, 159 guest rooms, full-service spa and rooftop pool.

There may be an array of events and activities that encompass the Texas experience, but for those in Austin, The InterContinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel’s True Texas Grilling Experience is the newest to join the ranks.

The InterContinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel’s newest attraction known as The Texas Experience is an interactive culinary experience in which guests can experience the flavors and cooking techniques of Texas firsthand.

Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt is now incorporating fun musical features into its meetings. Programs for groups include “Soundtracked,” which has a playlist customized by the music and social programming director for a group’s meeting space and “Anthem” where groups create a new company theme song with percussion instruments.
