Brenner’s, an upscale steakhouse hideaway in downtown Houston’s Buffalo Bayou Park, has long attracted special events. This summer it will be joined by The Dunlavy, a new multipurpose event space currently under construction at the 160-acre park’s western end.
“The Dunlavy will be a space that defines our city: bold, innovative and unique,” says Grant Cooper, principal of Clark Cooper Concepts. “It will be a really cool, functional space where people can get creative.”
The Dunlavy’s 3,800-square-foot private event space will include floor-to-ceiling windows, gallery-like interiors and an 850-square-foot outdoor patio overlooking the banks of Buffalo Bayou and Lost Lake. The Dunlavy’s dining space will showcase the cuisine of Clark Cooper restaurants, including Ibiza Food & Wine Bar, Brasserie 19, Coppa Ristorante, Coppa Osteria and Punk’s Simple Southern Food. Event planners also have the option of creating custom menus and wine pairings.
The $58 million project also includes new trails, gardens, two pedestrian bridges, a dog park and a nature playground.
