The Austin Marriott Downtown is raising a glass to the completion of its structural framework, literally. Instead of raising the “final beam,” the hotel held a “topping-off” event where guests watched a large crane raise three Garrison Brothers bourbon barrels onto the hotel’s rooftop, in collaboration with local spirit masters Garrison Brothers Distillery.
Bareburger, known for its unique meat selections such as elk and wild boar, has opened a new location in Philadelphia at 1009 Walnut Street.
This burger joint is not just for the meat lovers, as they promise to have organic burgers as well as other non-meat offerings. The story behind the term “bare” in the name comes from the choice to use organic ingredients.
Bareburger CEO Euripides Pelekanos, when talking about joining the Philadelphia community said, “We could not be happier to be in the city that knows, demands and respects good food. We strive to have a fun and welcoming atmosphere, and look forward to welcoming in customers in Philadelphia for a good time and great burgers."
Bareburger opened its first location in 2009 and has since expanded to 20 resturants in the Eastern US region.
