With meetings returning to normal as the COVID-19 pandemic levels out, outdoor mountain pursuits are finding more time on meeting agendas. Taking events outdoors not only boosts attendees’ comfort level as they ease back into in-person meetings, time spent in nature is proven to improve brain health and stimulate creative thinking as well.

We’ll be looking at this topic in-depth in the Spring/Summer 2022 issue of Mountain Meetings. Consider this as an introduction to some of the possibilities.

Imagine the next-level of brainstorming a group can achieve in the presence of the one-million-year-old red rock formations adjoining Garden of the Gods Resort and Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Groups can book a meditation workshop in Garden of the Gods Park, picnics, guided hikes, archery, tomahawk throwing, falconry, ziplining and more.

Bridger-Teton National Forest is the backdrop for teambuilding activities at Snow King Resort  in Jackson, Wyoming. Paragliding, skeet shooting, a ropes course, whitewater rafting, hiking and more are just some of the activities at the resort or nearby. Snow King also offers a local birds of prey demonstration, providing another meaningful way for groups to connect with nature.

Located in a lush valley in the mountains of northwest Montana, Kalispell offers a variety of mountain activities for groups in the summer. Red bus tours through Glacier National Park, guided horseback rides at Artemis Acres or Bar W Guest Ranch, fly-fishing lessons and guided trips on area waterways, cruising Flathead Lake on board the Far West, and scenic whitewater river trips on the middle fork of the Flathead River are among the many options during fair-weather months.

Omni PGA Frisco Resort, scheduled to open in spring 2023, is now open for group booking requests.

Moody Center, a multi-purpose venue located in downtown Austin, opened its doors this past April. The sold-out grand opening show was a Texas-sized celebration featuring artist George Strait with special guests Willie Nelson & Family and Randy Rogers Band.
