Delivered snacks are a simple solution to time-crunched meetings. They are convenient, quick and allow everyone involved to continue working uninterrupted. The downfall? Delivery options are typically unhealthy, greasy and have the potential to hinder productivity, rather than jump-start it. That’s where these three companies come in.
Changes occur every day in the hospitality industry, but one of the biggest is the high turnover of employees. Much of this can be attributed to the people who make up staff—students, part-time and those who work in seasonal locations. This can make building the perfect team difficult.
The city of Frisco, just 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas, is a modern-day boomtown. Its population has tripled since 2004, a feat outshined only by the number of new developments underway, including The $5 Billion Mile with Dallas Cowboys’ world corporate headquarters and three large developments with two boutique hotels. There’s also the growth at Dr Pepper Arena, Dr Pepper Ballpark, Toyota Stadium and Embassy Suites Dallas- Frisco/Hotel, Convention Center & Spa.
While an upscale chain hotel or splashy new convention center can set the stage for a perfectly lovely event, sometimes clients desire a truly unique backdrop for their celebration. Standing out from the crowd involves more than just fabulous décor and a well-played theme—the setting anchors the entire event. And when an ordinary venue just won’t do, consider an out-of- the-box space to set the stage for a truly extraor- dinary event.
During this year’s Partyfest trade show, dozens of event and entertainment resources were on hand for the thousands of visitors who made their way through Dallas Market Hall. The event, which took place February 25, included educational seminars in addition to the trade show organized by Applause Productions. A silent auction benefitted The Family Place, a nonprofit organization in Dallas that provides free, comprehensive services that prevent violence and offer support to victims.

On a seasonal spring afternoon, historic downtown Brenham is brimming with shoppers strolling along stone-lined storefronts and making their way into the city’s antique and specialty shops.
