Without the perfect speaker, a meeting or event can be a total bust. With 75 professional chapters and 350 collegiate chapters, the American Marketing Association (AMA) knows this better than anyone. The AMA is constantly producing programming and looking for the best speakers for various events, and found a need for an easier way to connect meeting planners with marketing event speakers. In order to create a solution, the AMA and Orate teamed up to produce the Speakers Bureau, a digital resource designed to help event planners search for the most relevant speaker for their next event. “We have a lot of people, both from our chapters and from outside the AMA, coming to us for solutions for their events. So we’re looking to be sort of a conduit, connecting people with content and thought leadership,” says Barbra Grobicki, AMA’s chief alliance officer. “We wanted to give as much attention to this platform as possible, so it could be a resource for anybody searching for marketing speakers.”
The Speakers Bureau is open to all marketers, and allows meeting planners to easily search through thousands of speakers on their own, or post an event and budget so speakers can come to them. This centralized resource makes it easy to narrow down the search for the perfect speaker.
