Go from Emerging Leader to Expert with an Always-Learning Approach

By definition, the word “emerging” means to come forth into view or notice, as from concealment or obscurity. But, how do you know you’ve come into view or been noticed?

When I was working to become an official meeting planner for a software company in Dallas, many of my colleagues weren’t sure what my role was or how I spent my time. These people were focused on bits and bytes, so a meeting planner was an enigma. It was only after I had managed a couple of user conferences that they had an idea of the work involved.

But then something great happened.

Meeting Munchies: Snacks Redefined

Looking to give your guests something to munch on during the day that will surprise and satisfy their foodie palettes? The Omni Fort Worth Hotel has created a variety of innovative snacks offered to meeting groups for different times of the day.

For a morning snack, try a cereal milk panna cotta verrine, a pumpkin granola bar with pumpkin seeds or a fresh baked pistachio financier (a buttery French cake).

Meet Marla Roe, Frisco CVB

The city of Frisco, just 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas, is a modern-day boomtown. Its population has tripled since 2004, a feat outshined only by the number of new developments underway, including The $5 Billion Mile with Dallas Cowboys’ world corporate headquarters and three large developments with two boutique hotels. There’s also the growth at Dr Pepper Arena, Dr Pepper Ballpark, Toyota Stadium and Embassy Suites Dallas- Frisco/Hotel, Convention Center & Spa.

4 Unique Venues Help to Escape the Same 4 Walls

While an upscale chain hotel or splashy new convention center can set the stage for a perfectly lovely event, sometimes clients desire a truly unique backdrop for their celebration. Standing out from the crowd involves more than just fabulous décor and a well-played theme—the setting anchors the entire event. And when an ordinary venue just won’t do, consider an out-of- the-box space to set the stage for a truly extraor- dinary event.

Event Snapshot: Suppliers & Planners Participate in Partyfest 2015

During this year’s Partyfest trade show, dozens of event and entertainment resources were on hand for the thousands of visitors who made their way through Dallas Market Hall. The event, which took place February 25, included educational seminars in addition to the trade show organized by Applause Productions. A silent auction benefitted The Family Place, a nonprofit organization in Dallas that provides free, comprehensive services that prevent violence and offer support to victims.

Brenham Beckons with Modern Amenities & Historic Flair

On a seasonal spring afternoon, historic downtown Brenham is brimming with shoppers strolling along stone-lined storefronts and making their way into the city’s antique and specialty shops. Even strangers are greeted like old friends, especially when they stop at Must Be Heaven to order a mile-high slice of pie. Behind all this charm and pleasantry, however, Brenham is at the center of some serious business.
