This historic Texas ranch turned luxury resort delivers much more than campfires and cookouts.

The Inn at Dos Brisas is a 313-acre ranch nestled among the rolling hills of Washington County near the town of Brenham. The property was purchased in 2000 as a family retreat by Doug and Jennifer Bosch and has evolved into a rustic yet elegant Texas ranch resort. The Inn at Dos Brisas features five haciendas and four casitas dotting the meadows of the ranch. The haciendas offer a total of 3,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space including screened-in porches, patios and private, heated plunge pools. The casitas provide nearly 800 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space including a private patio.

The restaurant at The Inn at Dos Brisas, the only Forbes five-star restaurant in Texas, serves award-winning cuisine made with ingredients sourced from the ranch’s certified organic farmland and greenhouse. The dining room features upscale Spanish country manor décor and a handcrafted mahogany bar, and an 18th-century fireplace from the Loire Valley in France. The resort’s 7,000-bottle wine cellar and custom-made Bernardaud China add another touch of class to every meal.

Centrally located between Austin and Houston in the foothills of Texas Hill Country, The Inn at Dos Brisas provides an ideal setting for relaxing board meetings, executive retreats and special events for up to 300 guests. While the resort does feature nine haciendas and casitas, local B&Bs and hotels provide hundreds of additional rooms that fit nearly any budget and are within a short drive from the ranch. The meeting facilities on the property can accommodate up to 100 attendees and the Prive building can host events of up to 36 guests. Additionally, each of the 3,000-squarefoot haciendas provide a perfect venue for more intimate gatherings. On-site technology includes complimentary Wi-Fi and the latest in audio-visual capabilities.

To relax and reinvigorate between meetings, The Inn at Dos Brisas offers a wide variety of activities including golf, clay shooting, mountain biking, fishing, wine tastings and horseback riding at one of the largest equestrian facilities in Texas. For more subdued downtime, the resort offers spa and massage services, binoculars for stargazing, self-guided golf cart tours, and a 3.5-mile path for leisurely walks or running. The staff at the ranch can also organize a vast array of team-building activities. If you have a different idea for your leisure time, just ask the front desk—chances are they can help make it happen.

When it comes to meeting at the Austin Convention Center, the numbers are forever in your favor. Let’s start with six. That’s how many full city blocks the convention center extends in the heart of the downtown business district. Or 12,000—the number of hotel rooms within a two-mile radius of the venue. Twenty-thousand is how many wireless devices that can be simultaneously connected, ensuring all of your guests won’t miss a meeting, Zoom call, presentation or email.

South by Southwest (SXSW) returned live this year! The 35-year-old festival infuses on average $16-plus million of consumer spending into the Austin music scene over the course of nine days. The festival returned in March after its cancellation in 2020 and virtual show in 2021. Both the cancellation and virtual show were prompted by health and safety concerns due to the pandemic.
