• Visit Milwaukee Wins Coveted Award

Visit Milwaukee won the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals National Videographer Award.

After 1,500 video entries were submitted, “Meet Milwaukee,” created by Kris Martinez, Visit Milwaukee’s digital marketing manager, surpassed industry standards and won an Award of Distinction.

“Videos are becoming increasingly important in selling a destination,” says Paul Upchurch, president and CEO of Visit Milwaukee. “We are pleased that the AMCP agrees with us that ‘Meet Milwaukee’ is a high-quality piece that conveys the fun, attractions and natural beauty of our city.”

The awards are judged by professionals in the industry, who are looking for companies that go above and beyond the expectations of the industry. Past winners have ranged from large production companies all the way to student producers.

The Woodlands Resort will soon become the first Curio Collection by Hilton branded resort in Texas. Along with its January 4, 2022 transition to the upscale portfolio, the 402-room, AAA Four Diamond property with 75,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space is slated for an extensive program of enhancements projected to begin in the second quarter of 2022. 

 

The Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) led a coalition of business groups and their communities to drive support to the industry, for SB 8, the federal pandemic relief bill that included $180 million for local hospitality and tourism businesses. 

 

Houston-based Jurassic Quest is back—and better than ever—kicking off its first indoor shows since March 2020 at Ford Park in Beaumont and NRG Center in Houston. Jurassic Quest includes more than 100 life-like dinosaurs, dinosaur-themed rides, live dinosaur shows, interactive science and art activities. Additional features include the “Triceratots” kiddie area, face painting, bounce houses and inflatable attractions and photo opportunities.
