The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority just became even more connected with its visitors.

Early last week, the CVB launched a free mobile app for the area.

The one-touch easy access app provides information on entertainment, places to stay, restaurants, shops and feature an events calendar. Even more fun is the Wildwoods Earth Cam (a 24-hour webcam), a 10-day weather forecast, ocean tides, ocean temperatures, contest information and the destination’s comprehensive vacation planner and guide.

Those with the app also can opt in for exclusive offers and notifications regardin exciting upcoming events occurring in the area. Excitingly, users can share their experiences via all social media platforms.

Developed locally by Wild Island Graphics of Wildwood, the app is available on the App Store and Google Play. Simply search “WildwoodsNJ” to download.

“At the touch of a button, you can instantly find everything you need to know about the Wildwoods,” says John Siciliano, executive director, GWTIDA. “Whether you’re planning a vacation or already here enjoying our destination, this app is a great way to navigate and locate all the fun and attractions our five-mile island has to offer.”

Due to COVID-19, non-essential travel was, or has been, banned for months. Long anticipated trips and in-person gatherings were canceled and people have adjusted to the new normal: staying at home and meeting over Zoom. However, states have been slowly lifting restrictions, and non-essential travel will soon be happening across the country again. However, some may not be as comfortable with the thought of traveling as they were before the pandemic.

Although several cities are opening up again, many offices are still enforcing work from home policies. As they did when Stay at Home first began, plenty of organizations are still offering webinars with insights on how to tackle the new normal. Gaining new knowledge is a great way to use extra time that might have been spent on a commute.

Here at M+E, we’ll keep the following list updated, as some webinars are live and some are pre-recorded. Please email lauren.pahmeier@tigeroak.com to add more applicable webinars to the list.
